Maruza is an accomplished and versatile Real Estate Development Executive with over 25 years of international experience in developed and emerging markets including but not limited to Australia, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Zimbabwe.

Proven track record of delivering logistics real estate assets in emerging markets, taking them from capital raise with a solid performance history of value creation. In East Africa over five years, Maruza developed ten prime Industrial real estate assets with 75,171 sqm under roof all within scope, program, and budget, delivering USD denominated IRRs  circa 15% over a 5-year investment period.

Delivered the first Industrial Development in Africa to be designed, built, audited, and certified “EDGE Advanced” for Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies by IFC, World Bank Group in 2018.

Two-time Award winner for  “Best Logistics/Industrial Development in Africa” at the 2018 & 2022 Africa Property Investment (API) Summit and Expo, the continent’s largest investment and development conference which recognizes innovation and outstanding achievement across the entire property industry. 

Responsible for a Kenyan company becoming the first African signatory of the World Green Building Council’s “Net-zero Carbon Buildings Commitment” to reduce embodied and operational carbon emissions by 2030.
